Arduino and Raspberry Pi Adapters for the JIGMOD Platform

Adapters were their own category on the original JIGMOD store, alongside Platforms, JIGMODs, and Accessories. Their job, in the product copy, was straightforward: mount a popular development board—or a breadboard—onto a JIGMOD platform so it sits with the rest of the modules.

Arduino UNO / DUE / MEGA JIGMOD Adapter

The product page for the Arduino UNO\DUE\MEGA JIGMOD Adapter described it as allowing quick mounting of an Arduino board to the platform. Hardware in the box was listed as 2 long screws, 4 standoffs, and 4 short screws. The page stated clearly that the Arduino board was not included.

Raspberry Pi adapters

Two Raspberry Pi adapters appeared in the Adapters collection:

  • Raspberry PI Model B JIGMOD Adapter — “allows for quick mounting of your Raspberry Pi B board to your platform,” with 2 long screws, 2 standoffs, and 2 short screws. A note said to purchase the Raspberry Pi board separately.
  • Raspberry PI Model 3 / B+ JIGMOD Adapter — for Raspberry Pi Model B+ and Raspberry Pi 3 boards that use a 4-screw hole pattern, with 2 long screws, 4 standoffs, and 4 short screws. The Pi board was again sold separately. In the archived Adapters collection listing, this item was marked Sold Out.

Breadboard Adapter

A separate Breadboard Adapter allowed quick mounting of a breadboard to the platform and included 4 thumbscrews. The page noted it was available with optional clear or white breadboards. Breadboards themselves were also sold as an accessory (described as high-quality boards with 4 power rails and 840 holes).

How adapters fit a full build

The JIGMOD Essentials Kit product text reminded buyers not to forget an Arduino or Raspberry Pi adapter, because those adapters fasten the board directly to the JIGMOD Platform. That kit’s own bill of materials featured an XL Platform, two breadboards, Binding Post and Pluggable Terminal Block JIGMODs, Tactile Button and Thumbstick JIGMODs, and fastener hardware.

On the module side, every archived JIGMOD product page repeated the same mounting line: each module includes 4 standoffs and 4 screws for mounting to a JIGMOD platform. Adapters complete the same mechanical idea for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and breadboards—one shared platform for controller, breadboard, and modules.
